Unit 9 Lab rephrase attached file 300 words so that it show less than 10% on turnitin.com. Provide me the report. In this lab, I learned how to create a phishing email, and how someone could steal a valuable item at an airport. To create a good phishing email, it needs to look legitimate and have the person’s name in the writing. Addressing someone using a generic name such as “customer” or “user” will most likely cause the person to close the email as spam. Also, because I used an email that had a real name in it as the person who sent the email, Charlie would have been more likely to open it. An effective phishing email will lure users to open by using subjects like “unemployment benefits” or anything that will benefit that person. The subject that I used “a favor?” from a real name like “Susan” makes the email seem real, and worth opening. Then, using the fake email about donating to make the lives of patient’s with strange diseases better, it would seem like a good reason to donate, making Charlie open up the fake hyperlink that I had put in the email. I would then receive all the money that Charlie “donated”. It is important to learn this so that I know how easy it is to be scammed by a phishing email. I will also know how to trace the email that someone may have clicked on when they ask me to remove a virus. As for the first part of this lab, I was amazed to learn how easy it is to steal a device at the airport. When you put a device in the white bucket to be scanned by the security personnel, you have to make sure that you keep an eye on your devices at all times. I did not realize how someone could take an electronic so easily, and I also realized how important it is to create a password for all of my devices, especially when traveling.
