Prof. Dixon had a little help in this 🙂 You have decided to take the chance on yourself and explore
the world of ecommerce sales due to its heightened popularity and low-cost start-up. Now you have
to get focused and do some homework to get things started. Please address the following questions
to complete this assignment. 

1) Briefly discuss why you want to be an entrepreneur.

a. Is it the thought of being your own boss?

b. Do you like the potential for making more money?

2) Name and function of your company (You can use your previous company name you created in
class if you wish).

a. What does your company do/specialize in?

3) What is your Mission Statement?

4) Which country if your business located in. United States? China? Mexico?
a. What factors contributed to you choosing this country? Low cost? Culture? Taxes?

5) Choose 3 products you would sell online (this must be different than your previous products from
the Week #12 assignment). You can locate products for sale on www.Alibaba.com or any other
wholesale site. These products MUST be real and ready to sell tomorrow. Please do not present
products that have yet to be created/developed. In your response, please provide screen shots of
the 3 products (cut/paste).

6) Locate your 3 products on www.Amazon.com or other ecommerce sites such as
 www.Walmart.com   or  www.Target.com .

a) What are your 3 products?

o Read the reviews. What improvement opportunities are there for you to capitalize on

in the reviews)

7) After looking at www.Amazon.com (or other ecommerce sites), look at the reviews for your 3
products and choose only 1 product that you want to sell.
a) What made you choose this 1 product to sell? Low cost? Potential profit from wholesale to

retail? Popularity? Good reviews? Bad reviews? Your passion?
b) How much are you planning to purchase your product for at wholesale price?
c) How much are you planning to retail your product for?

8) What are your Start-Up Costs? (Approximate numbers are OK. Please calculate via https://
www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/2020-08/Startup%20Costs%20Worksheet-508.pdf . Once
calculated “download” the spreadsheet and attach to your final submission. Please note: You may
not know all the answers to the financial questions. Use your best guess to come to a conclusion)

9) Where will you obtain funding? Briefly discuss what led you to your final decision.

2. Length = Minimum of 5 pages. MLA and APA format is preferred. Be sure that your paper meets

the assigned page requirements, plus foot/endnotes and bibliography, using standard one-inch

3. It must have a title/cover page that includes your name, date and an appropriate title for your
research.

8. Be sure to incorporate research from assigned readings and/or lectures.
9. Pages, including bibliography, must be numbered, starting on the first page of text.  The one

exception is the title page, which should not have a number.  The first page of text of the paper
should be page 1.
