Peer 1: Hi, I am Tanner and I’m currently a junior in high school and taking online classes as a substitute for hours I don’t have anything going on. I’m taking this class not just to fill an hour but to learn more about the famous works of art that I’ve seen since I can remember.

As someone that does art and enjoys every second of starting a project that you know will take a long time and watching it unravel into something awesome. I believe that people see artists as someone that can be devoted to one thing for weeks and someone that is very creative. People may even say artists are introverted and more intuned into themselves. Artists don’t care what other people think of them and they do them essentially. Artists if compared to one another will show that they aren’t the same person so you can’t group them together, everyone has a different take on art and everyone has a different style they like to use. Artists will never have the same artwork, they can express themselves through their art thus making their pieces a direct reflection of their personality. That’s what I love about art and learning more about it, since we are looking at the history of the renaissance we’ll get to see some of the best artworks that man has created with their hands and their brains.

Peer 2: Hi everyone, my name is Kieran. I live and work here in Denver with my dog Izzy and my cat Hamilton. I enjoy listening to heavy metal, playing video games, and reading fantasy novel(cliche, I know). I’m a graphic design major and will be transfer to Metro or CU in the next semester or so. Ive always enjoyed art, and I’m looking forward to learning about some more modern eras and artists.

When i think about artists I usually imagine a very eccentric person. Crazy hair, mismatched clothing covered in paint or ceramic dust. Usually a little on the odd side, but nice overall. I think my mind goes this route because my grandmother is an artist and she is eccentric to say the least. I like to imagine someone like Jessica Day from the show New Girl. Caring, passionate and always looking to help and create. Obviously anyone can be an artist and they come in all shapes and sizes!
